Game Day Buddy Volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and fun experience for every athlete in Challenger Little League. Buddies are paired with players to provide one-on-one support, encouragement, and assistance throughout the game.
Volunteers help ensure player safety while also empowering each athlete to participate to the best of their ability. This includes supporting players with a wide range of needs, such as those who use wheelchairs or other medical equipment, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum or those who are hearing or visually impaired.
Buddies assist players on the field by helping with hitting, catching, and running the bases, while also offering guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement. Just as important, they serve as enthusiastic cheerleaders—celebrating every effort, every swing, and every moment of success.
No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, a compassionate attitude, and a commitment to making a difference. Game Day Buddies help ensure that every player feels supported, included, and proud to be part of the game.
