Volunteers will help provide care, supervision, and connection for children of all ages while their parents participate in a support group. These children come from adoptive families and many have experienced early trauma, loss, or instability. Because of this, they may need a little extra patience, structure, and support.
• Be fully present and engaged with the children throughout your time
• Avoid phone use during your shift unless directed by TxGBR staff
• Help create a calm, respectful, and nurturing environment
TxGBR staff will be on-site the entire morning to support you, step in when needed, and help with any behaviors or transitions. If you need anything at all, we are right there with you.
Your presence gives parents the space to focus on support, growth, and healing, knowing their children are safe and cared for. What may feel like a small commitment can make a lasting impact for these families.
