Who We Are
Texas Girls & Boys Ranch is a faith-based childcare organization whose vision is “manifesting Christ through excellence in childcare.” Our mission is “Sharing Jesus, Healing Hearts, Transforming Lives.” We have been serving children (both boys and girls) since 1975.
What We Do
At Texas Girls & Boys Ranch, we meet the needs of girls and boys who have suffered from neglect and/or abuse. We serve these children in one of our three programs: residential care, foster care, and adoption, emergency children’s shelter.
Our residential care program (also called “the ranch”) sits on 460 acres east of the Lubbock airport. Thirty-two children live in four cottages. Each cottage is managed by a house parent couple.
In our foster care and adoption program, we recruit and train parents to take care of foster children in their homes. Many of these families eventually adopt.
Our emergency children’s shelter provides a safe and secure environment for up to sixteen children when they are first removed from their homes until a more permanent placement can be found for them.
