About:

The TTU Whitacre College of Engineering is needing robot inspectors for the third Lubbock-A FIRST Tech Challenge robotics meet on January 14th. Robot inspectors help ensure that the robots of competing teams meet all the size and hardware rules, ensuring that they are safe and ready for match play. Training is provided. Breakfast and lunch provided.

 

Meet will be at Irons Middle School. Event contact is Sam Black, the Amarillo league coordinator, sam.black@lubbockisd.org.

Those who sign-up will be reached out by one of our volunteer coordinators to help you get signed-up for volunteering with FIRST.

About FIRST Tech Challenge:

FIRST Tech Challenge is a robotics program where teams of middle and high school students come together to design, build, wire, program, and market robots in order to score points and earn awards at robotics competitions. These robotics competitions contain a robot game that changes every year, bringing in new science and engineering challenges that the students must overcome.

 

Through FIRST Tech Challenge, students learn valuable soft and technical skills that are in demand by the companies and colleges of today.
