Family Volunteer Day is a great chance for you and your family to serve others! As we are learning to live during a pandemic, you may prefer to stay at home - and that's okay! Here are some ways you and your family can serve right in your own neighborhood:
- Kids, prepare dinner for your family! Join your parents on a trip to the grocery store or see what you have at home. You can help set the table and take part in making the meal. This is a great way to serve your family and show that you appreciate them!
- Use sidewalk chalk to write encouraging notes to your neighbors! Writing a small message to let them know that you appreciate and support them can go a long way, especially during this time.
- Mow lawns or assist with yard work for at-risk people in your area. Reach out to your neighbors and see if they need anything. Offer to deliver groceries or other supplies to homebound neighbors. Even just a call to check in on them can go a long way!
This is a great time to be creative in your service to others!
