This is one of the Science Spectrum's most popular annual events! Volunteers will be working at several different stations with a wide range of activities. Our volunteer needs for this event include workers for carnival games, trick-or-treating, arts and crafts, the haunted house, as well as door monitors. This is an easy and fun one-time opportunity to get involved with our annual Spooky Science Carnival!
Available shifts are from 4:30pm-9:30pm, however if you cannot commit to the full five hours, shifts from 4:30pm-7:00pm, and 7:00pm-9:30pm will be available. Please, do not sign up for a shift if you cannot work the entire time. It is important that we have stations manned for the duration of the event and if people must leave, it may make stations unavailable to the public, which can be upsetting to patrons.
Also, 14 are more than welcome to volunteer, but will need to be accompanied by a parent who also volunteers for the day.
Dress Code: Everyone should be in closed-toe shoes. Please, no shorts and be sure that all shirts/blouses are appropriate for a family environment both in style, graphics, text, etc. Feel free to wear shirts to promote your school & group! For this event, volunteers may wear a costume as long as it is family appropriate and not too scary! When you arrive, you will be given a name tag. Please, wear this at all times to let visitors know that you are a volunteer with the event!
