The holiday season is here, and Lubbock Meals on Wheels needs your help in spreading some Christmas cheer to the homebound, elderly, and disabled people of Lubbock on December 12, 2018!
We are asking volunteers to come to Home Instead Senior Care (1010 Slide Road) and pick up Christmas gifts, then deliver them to homebound members of the community.
There are several pick-up times to choose from: 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, and 2:30 pm. We ask that you pull up to the front of Home Instead (entrance will be marked) where staff will be outside to assist in loading vehicles and providing directions.
We sincerely hope you can take part in this project. The people who receive these gifts are just as excited to have friendly volunteers show them kindness as they are to get the actual gifts. Thank you to anybody who is available to help us! Please call 806.792.7971 if you are interested!
