Lubbock Meals on Wheels

Respecting the dignity of every human being, no matter their need or physical condition, Lubbock Meals on Wheels will provide nutritious, home delivered meals to those who are homebound, elderly or disabled.  We shall seed to break the social isolation experienced by the homebound, by providing warm, caring, friendly contact through our volunteers.  

Lubbock Meals on Wheels serves over 1,000 meals each day and over 550 meals each weekend in the Lubbock and Wolfforth communities to the homebound.  Our volunteers do so much more than deliver meals. For many of our clients, our volunteer may be the only person they see each day. The nutritious meal we deliver is important but so is the daily human contact our volunteers provide. 

Lubbock Meals on Wheels depends on the help of caring volunteers to deliver meals to recipients. All volunteers are required to pass a criminal background check and attend an orientation.  Volunteers use their own vehicles and pay for their own gasoline.

The Lubbock and Wolfforth communities work together to ensure the continued success of Lubbock Meals on Wheels’ mission. Your time and talents are needed and appreciated.
