About:
In FIRST Tech Challenge, teams of middle school in high school students design, build, wire, and program a robot to compete in a yearly themed robot game to score points and earn judges awards in hopes of advancing to the next level of competition! Through this program, students learn the skills need for today's society in STEM!
About Lubbock-A League:
In the West Texas region of FIRST Tech Challenge, teams participate in league play. Leagues allow teams to participate in multiple robotics events throughout the year. Lubbock-B consist of teams from Lubbock ISD, with out of city teams such as Knox City and Crowell.
All league meets are public events!
Volunteering:
If you want to help make an impact on the students of the future, helping inspire students to pursue careers and majors in STEM, preparing them to solve today's problems, come volunteer at one of our events! We host many meets throughout the season and offer a variety of volunteers roles to participate in. These range from technical roles such as robot inspectors and tech advisors, to non-technical roles like referees and judges!
Those wishing to volunteer can contact our assistant Garrett Smith at garrett.smith@ttu.edu or fill out the volunteer form below.
Let us all help make an impact today!
