We have got some exciting news about the Lubbock Book Festival!
First off, we've finalized some big name authors for the event. And we do mean BIG name authors. Jodi Thomas, AG Howard, Rick Treon, Kim Hunt-Harris, and Linda Broday, just to name a few. We'll have 40+ authors at this thing, so if one of the ones listed doesn't tickle your fancy, never fear! We are sure we've got a local author outstanding in your genre just ready and waiting to chat with you.
Secondly, our VIP Badges are now available for purchase! They're exclusive perks for the Festival, designed to give you a truly outstanding and premiere experience. They come loaded with perks, such as:
- exclusive access to the VIP Lounge, full of snacks and goodies
- a ticket for the premier Prologue Party kick-off event
- a book of your choice by a local author
- $5 Friends of the Library Bucks for their mega-sale of used books down in the entire basement of the library

Seriously, these VIP Badges are outrageous in how many perks you get during the Festival. We have tallied up the value and it comes out to about $125-$130 worth of bonuses (our local authors vary in how much they sell their books for!) but we're only selling them for $65. We think you'd really enjoy one! They make the Festival all that more enjoyable, plus the money made from badge sales go directly back into Literacy Lubbock's programs. So not only do you get phenomenal benefits during the Festival, but you give back to the community by helping our free programs continue to help our deserving Lubbock neighbors.
