Who We Are
One Heart is a network of Lubbock-Area churches, organizations, and foster-adoptive agencies that believe we are called to look after the fatherless together. We have three primary areas of focus, each one vital to growing a strong and sustainable system of care that surrounds our children:
- Strengthen foster, kinship, & adoptive families
- Equip local churches
- Partner with community stakeholders
What We Do
We hope our community is constantly surprised by the many ways that exist to restore children and families. There is no one-size-fits all path to “look after the orphan” (James 1:27).
One Heart is committed to strengthening the Lubbock area’s response to abused and neglected children by building healthy foster families and helping individuals and churches navigate these waters so that each of finds our place.
What We Do:
- Provide Foster Parent Nights Out
- Train volunteers and families
- Educate and inform the community about needs and ways to help
- Collaborate with other entities to meet the needs of foster-adoptive families
