Who We Are
The Stockings Patriots make generally 3000 denim stockings to be stuffed with goodies and distributed to US military members.
The project begins in February with donated fabrics which are taken by individuals and groups to be traced and cut out into stockings. The stockings are distributed to many different individual steamstresses and other groups for sewing, putting on cuffs, attaching ribbon hooks, and decorating. Throughout the year, items such as small games, decks of cards, small toiletries, and pens & pencils are collected. In November, donations of candy are requested. Finally, Christmas cards with handwritten messages of encouragement are placed in each stocking before they are packed and distributed.
What We Do
Sharing the warmth of God’s love by creating, stuffing, and mailing Christmas Stockings into our community and unto the ends of the world.
