Volunteer with Vitalant – Blood Drive Support

Donating blood is one powerful way to make a difference—but you can also support our mission by volunteering your time. As a Blood Drive Volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in creating a positive experience for blood donors and helping patients receive the lifesaving blood they need.

What you'll do:

• Greet and check-in donors with a warm welcome

• Provide pre-donation materials and answer general questions

• Keep the refreshment/hospitality area stocked, clean, and comfortable for donors after they give blood

• Offer promotional items (when available) and encourage donors to give the best product for their blood type

• Monitor donor flow to ensure everything runs smoothly

• Deliver outstanding customer service from start to finish

• Report any concerns to staff, such as donors feeling unwell

• Assist with reminder or rescheduling calls, as needed
