Who We Are

The core mission of the Junior League of Lubbock is to train women as leaders in order to create lasting community impact. Very simply, we are organized to provide training to members in all aspects of volunteering and community impact, and our members work not only on League projects, but in many areas of our community in order to create positive impact.

What We Do

The Junior League of Lubbock, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. The AJLI website can be found at http://www.ajli.org. The idea of women volunteering together to improve the Lubbock community began with the Junior Welfare League in 1935. In 1954 the Junior Welfare League joined as the 183rd member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) and became the Junior League of Lubbock. The Junior League of Lubbock has been instrumental in numerous community endeavors such as The Ronald McDonald House, the Children?s Advocacy Center, Safety City, and Legacy Play Village, among others.
