Who We Are
The long range goal for High Point Village is to be an outstanding living community for adults with special needs where they can live safely and independently as possible among their peers. High Point will be a place where they can live, learn, work, and socialize in a supported environment so they can have the quality of life they desire and deserve. High Point will also be a support system to the families and caregivers of our villagers and an asset to the Lubbock community. The short term goal is to provide an enrichment center that offers: * Educational & life skills opportunities * After school programs * Programs during Christmas, Spring, & Summer breaks from school * Parent education & support * Information Center for parents & caregivers * Volunteer opportunities for our participants * Community Partnering with businesses & organizations * Social opportunities * Job skills and work opportunities.
What We Do
High Point Village is a faith-based, nonprofit organization developed for the purpose of providing an enrichment center and residential living community for individuals with special needs. Our organization was incorporated in 2008 by a group of special needs parents and concerned citizens to meet the needs of Lubbock’s special needs citizens. It is estimated that more than 80,000 functionally disabled adults live in and around Lubbock.
