The Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood Association is creating a community garden, and they need your help! Volunteers will be helping to build the foundation for the garden with sheet mulch (layers of cardboard, newspaper, and hay) aka lasagna gardening. The purpose of sheet mulching is to build up the soil bed and prevent weeds from coming through. Volunteers should dress for the weather! Water will be provided, but volunteers can also bring their own!
