Volunteer: Apple Orchard Help!The South Plains Food Bank Apple Orchard needs your help. They have a new Orchard Manager who is doing an amazing job. The weather has been cooperating, the bugs have stayed away, and she has done an excellent job caring for the trees. The only challenge is that the apples ripened much sooner than we expected!We urgently need volunteers to help with the apple harvest. Normally, harvesting takes place after Texas Tech, Wayland Baptist, South Plains College, and Lubbock Christian University are back in session, so we can rely on larger student groups. This year, however, the apples are ready much earlier, and we need volunteers ASAP.If you could help us by sharing that we are looking for volunteers, we would greatly appreciate it!Apple Harvest Volunteer Information:No age limit (all ages are welcome with appropriate supervision)Monday–Friday8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
