Volunteer: Join Our Community Advisory Committee!StarCare is seeking applications from community members interested in mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and substance misuse issues. The Planning & Network Advisory Committee (PNAC) is a diverse group that includes individuals with mental illness, disabilities, and substance misuse challenges, along with their family members, caregivers, providers, interested citizens, and community stakeholders (such as public agencies, public and private providers and provider associations, local businesses, advocacy organizations, civic organizations, etc.) Meetings are held from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm on the second Friday in February, May, August, and November. These meetings are held in person with a virtual option via Zoom. The purpose is to identify community needs and provide input in planning, policymaking, and service delivery system design. Members are crucial in developing recommendations for StarCare’s Board of Trustees. PNAC members uphold StarCare’s procedures regarding confidentiality, engage in constructive dialogue, and offer creative solutions to problems. If you have any questions or are interested in joining us, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to hearing from you!
