Join us in serving families through our Community Market! This event provides families with essential household items at no cost. Every other month, families in the community can shop with dignity for the items they need most, from cleaning supplies and household essentials to personal care products

Volunteers play an important role in creating a positive experience by assisting families as they shop, restocking, and supporting staff throughout the event.

Did you end the holidays with extra wrapping paper, bows, bags, and boxes? We’d love to put it to good use! We’re collecting unused or gently used wrapping supplies left over from the holiday season.  Donated items will be used to wrap gifts for the children and families we serve, helping make their holiday season feel special and celebrated.

Your post-holiday donations help us stay stocked and ready for upcoming celebrations and holidays. What might be leftover in your closet can become part of a meaningful moment for a family in our programs.

Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours or coordinated by emailing the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at: azurie.rodriguez@buckner.org

This volunteer opportunity supports foster and kinship parents while they attend required trainings, support groups, and educational classes. These gatherings are an important part of equipping caregivers with the tools and encouragement they need to care well for children in their homes.

Volunteers will provide childcare during these sessions by engaging children in games, activities, and supervised play in a safe and welcoming environment. By caring for children during this time, volunteers help parents focus fully on learning, connection, and support.

Because this role involves working directly with children, volunteers will be contacted to complete a background check and any other required steps before being eligible to serve in childcare roles. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Azurie Rodriguez, will work with you through this process and answer any questions along the way.

The Family Hope Center provides families with support, encouragement, and resources as they work toward stability and growth. Through classes, coaching, and community gatherings, families are equipped with tools to build a stronger future

Family Pathways is a program that supports single mothers as they pursue higher education and work toward a stable future for their families. Many of the mothers and children in this program have experienced significant hardship, and this program exists to provide encouragement, consistency, and hope.

At this event, volunteers will help facilitate childcare so that Pathways moms can attend a required class. Volunteers will engage children in games and activities provided, helping create a safe, welcoming environment where kids can have fun while their moms focus on learning and growth
