Needs From: Volunteer Center of Lubbock

Unconditional is a day built just for teen girls — a space to hear that they are made on purpose, worth protecting, and never alone. Through two tracks, "Made on Purpose" and "Guard Your Peace," girls ages 12–18 will spend the day being poured into by speakers, mentors, and a room full of people who showed up for them. That room doesn't build itself. We need volunteers to help with check-in and registration, guide girls between sessions, run breakout track logistics, keep snacks and supplies stocked, and just be a steady, warm presence throughout the day — someone a nervous 13-year-old can look to and know she's safe here. This is a one-day commitment that leaves a lasting mark. You don't need a speaking role or special training — just a heart for teen girls and a willingness to serve wherever you're needed.

This isn't just a race. It's a room full of people who showed up because they believe survivors deserve more than sympathy — they deserve a way out. Every mile run that morning helps fund the mentorship, housing referrals, and support that Redemption Way puts into the hands of women and girls in Lubbock who are rebuilding their lives.

And none of it happens without volunteers.

We need people at packet pickup, handing out water, cheering at the finish line, directing runners along the course, and helping us break it all down at the end. It's early mornings and good energy — the kind of work where you can actually see the impact you're making, because you're standing right next to it.

If you've got a couple of hours to give on October 3rd, we want you there. You don't need running shoes for this one — just a heart for the mission and a willingness to show up.
