Big Brothers Big Sisters has teamed up with Run or Dye 5k Charity Run and we need volunteers! Times may change depending on various circumstances, but this is a general look at what times we need for volunteers.
FRIDAY
9:00-3:00 and 3:00-9:00 Packet Pick-up: 10-15 people per shift.
SATURDAY
The rest of the volunteers will arrive around 7:00 am and stay until around 1:00pm. We say till 1:00 because it is hard to determine exactly when the race will end. A lot of it depends on the speed of the runners. The volunteers are usually done after their area is completely torn down and we ask if they can just help for a bit longer picking up some of the trash.
There are many different things we need volunteers for, and you get to pick your assignemnt! Here are some of the options:
- Check-in table
- Water Station
- Dye Station
- Finish Line/ Cheer Section
- Store
- Volunteer Tent
- Parking Attendants
- Starting Line
Volunteers can sign up on www.runordye.com/volunteers. There will be a place for a non-profit reference id. All you need to do is out BBBS in that slot!
NOTE: Children can volunteer! However, if they are under 15 years old they will need to be accompanied by an adult.
