We are always accepting new volunteers. There are only three steps to join the Buddy Holly Hall Volunteer Program. These can be completed in any order.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time*
- Be able to see and read small print in low lighting*
- Work at least one (1) event per month
1. Create an account on POINT at https://pointapp.org/. This is where volunteers sign up for events. Be sure to “Join” Buddy Holly Hall on POINT to get access.
2. Complete a background check through the Lubbock Independent School District (Lubbock ISD). Due to our affiliation with Lubbock ISD, volunteers are required to complete a background check. You must provide the background check approval to the Patron Experience Manager by email or physical printout. All information and paperwork are kept confidential.
3. Attend a Volunteer Orientation. Buddy Holly Hall hosts quarterly group sessions throughout the year. Interested volunteers will be able to sign up for these on POINT. Unable to attend? Contact the Patron Experience Manager to schedule an individual orientation.
Our team of Volunteer Ushers plays a special role and is essential to creating amazing experiences at Buddy Holly Hall. Volunteer Ushers help with events, take tickets, assist patrons to their seats, and provide excellent customer service.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to make friends, see performances, and get involved in the Lubbock arts community.
