About:
The Whitacre College of Engineering is looking for judges for the Lubbock League Championship FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition on February 10th at Lubbock-Cooper Middle School.
Judges interview teams and observe robot matches to determine which awards a team will earn at the competition. Judges will get to speak with the teams, learning about them and seeing what they have accomplished for the season. These awards are used to determine which teams will advance to the next level of competition. Judging is a rewarding experience, allowing volunteers to make an impact that will inspire students in STEM forever!
Robotics experience is not required and we encourage people from a variety of backgrounds and skills to participate.
All volunteers do have to sign up with FIRST to volunteer and go through screening to ensure our students are safe at competition. Food will ne provided and certificates can be issued to those who volunteer.
