Volunteer: Support Our Houseparents Through a Shared Meal

Our Houseparent's work hard day and night to give our kids the very best care. Cooking for a large group three times a day can quickly become exhausting.

You can make a meaningful difference by providing a meal, dessert, or even a restaurant gift card. Your generosity gives our Houseparent's a much-needed break and allows them to focus more on building relationships with the children in their care.

How You Can Help:

1. Cook in Our Kitchen - use our newly renovated kitchen to prepare a meal onsite using your own ingredients.

2. Bring a Fully Prepared Meal - drop off a ready-to-serve meal for the children and their families to enjoy together.

3. Sponsor a Cottage Meal Experience - deliver meals directly to a cottage so families can eat together at home. Host dinner by inviting a cottage to eat with your group in our shared dining area.

Timing & Availability

   - Volunteers may arrive as early as 4:00 PM to prep or set up.

   - Dinner is typically served around 5:30–6:00 PM.

   - We can accommodate meals any night of the week, though Thursdays and Fridays tend to work best.

If you’d like to bless one of our cottages with a meal, we’d love to hear from you! Thank you for helping create moments of rest, connection, and care.

Volunteer: Provide a Meal for Grace Campus

But, here is the good news. One way you can help out this season is to provide a meal to our clients! They miss seeing your faces, but it warms their hearts to know our community is still thinking and caring for them.

Volunteer: Food Pantry Assistance (Weekday Afternoons 2-4PM ONLY)

The Emergency Food Pantry at Catholic Charities serves a wide variety of community members, and with that variety comes the need for volunteers to help us maintain it.

Our food pantry is in need of assistance in the afternoons between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Many of the items donated to us are from churches and local stores. We have canned goods, boxed goods, and hygiene products that need sorting and organizing. We also have freezers where we keep meats and other freezer goods, and those items need to be individually bagged and sorted as well.

Please note: this need is preferrable for a volunteer who is available for an on-going basis, NOT for court-based required community service  A background check will be required for this volunteer position. For more information, contact Carol Alonzo at 806-642-4478 or carol@cclubbock.org
