Volunteer: Provide a Meal for Grace Campus

Grace Campus has experienced extreme growing pains through the pandemic, and made the incredibly difficult decision to limit volunteers to keep everyone safe. Our volunteers mean the world to us, and if you have volunteered with us before, you know how important your work is to our clients.

But, here is the good news. One way you can help out this season is to provide a meal to our clients! They miss seeing your faces, but it warms their hearts to know our community is still thinking and caring for them.

Sign up on our website to donate a meal to Grace Campus: https://www.paulsprojectlubbock.org/book-online

We can't wait to hear from you!

DON'T FORGET TO RECORD YOUR HOURS HERE!

Volunteer: Provide Meals for Our Children and Families

Our Houseparents work hard day and night to make sure our kids receive the very best care. Cooking for a large group 3 times a day can get very tiresome. Making a meal, dessert, or giving them a gift card to a restaurant allows them to focus less on cooking and more on their relationships with the kids.

You can prepare a meal in our newly renovated kitchen using your own ingredients. Alternatively, you can bring a fully prepared meal for the children and their families to enjoy.

Meal Delivery Options:

Deliver meals directly to our cottages so the children and families can eat together in their homes.Invite the children and their families to join your volunteer group for dinner in our shared dining area.

Timing:

Volunteers can arrive as early as 4:00 PM to prepare or set up, with dinner served at 5:30 or 6:00 PM.
While we can accommodate meals any night of the week, Thursdays or Fridays typically work best for our schedule.

Volunteer: Food Pantry Assistance (Weekday Afternoons 2-4PM ONLY)

The Emergency Food Pantry at Catholic Charities serves a wide variety of community members, and with that variety comes the need for volunteers to help us maintain it.

Our food pantry is in need of assistance in the afternoons between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Many of the items donated to us are from churches and local stores. We have canned goods, boxed goods, and hygiene products that need sorting and organizing. We also have freezers where we keep meats and other freezer goods, and those items need to be individually bagged and sorted as well.

Please note: this need is preferrable for a volunteer who is available for an on-going basis, NOT for court-based required community service  A background check will be required for this volunteer position. For more information, contact Carol Alonzo at 806-642-4478 or carol@cclubbock.org
