About:
The FiT-W&P Area Championship is a exciting robotics competition event hosted by Texas Tech University and FIRSTInTexas, where robotics teams participating in FIRST Tech Challenge from the Lubbock, Midland, Amarillo, Abilene, San Angelo, and El Paso areas will come to compete in hopes to score a spot at the FiT-State Championship.
Robotics teams will participate in a series of robot games to score points and win matches, accumulating at the alliance selection, where the top teams will be selected to go on to the playoffs.
Teams will also be interviewed by a series of judges, to present their robot and team in order to qualify for an assortment awards.
The winning teams will move on to the state championship, representing West Texas! Come join us and see all the amazing robots and teams in action, seeing everyone's work throughout the entire season come together!
Want to be involved with this event? FIRST events are primarily ran by volunteers who want to help make an impact and provide a chance for students to be involved in in something that will inspire the next generation of leaders in STEM! We got all sorts of technical and non-technical roles for volunteers! Ranging from judging, to being a referee, to robot and field inspections, and more.
