It’s the 10th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade of Lubbock!
Bring the whole family Saturday, May 7th!
The parade begins at 10 a.m. with the lineup starting at 9 a.m.
The route starts at First Baptist Church on Broadway and Ave U, making its way down historic Broadway to the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center!
This year’s theme is Que dulce es la Vida! How Sweet is life, encouraging participants to decorate their float in a sweet theme rich in color to spectators full of life!

ANNOUNCING the 10th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade of Lubbock - Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The 2022 theme: "!Que Dulce es la Vida - How Sweet is Life!" – Participants are to decorate their float in a sweet them rich in color and life! And of course, urged to toss some candy to spectators! Los Hermanos Familia also encourages participants to align with "Our objective is strengthening families, and building community," said Christy Martinez-Garcia, Parade Chair. "This year we are urging schools and organizations and families to share the richness of their existence, their history, and prepare floats that are rich in color. By especially showcasing the contributions of our Mexican American and Hispanic community, we promote their contributions." The Hispanic community encourages veterans, family members, role models, schools, athletes, marching bands, small and corporate businesses, etc. to be included.
Parade Date: 5/7/2022. Set-Up 9 a.m. Start-Up at 10 a.m.
Route: Begins at First Baptist Church at Broadway and Avenue U, moves east on Broadway to Avenue M, then north on Ave. M to Lubbock Memorial Civic Center parking lot. (Participants must check-in and enter through Ave V). The 2022 chair is Christy Martinez-Garcia.
