Please join the Silent Wings Museum in honoring veterans of the United States Military on Thursday November 11, 2021. Enjoy free admission from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A special Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 11:00AM featuring Dr. Ron Milam discussing the significance of this date in world history and our national identity. A special performance by local band students will lead us in honoring our nation’s veterans and the City of Lubbock Veterans Day Proclamation will be read to honor our esteemed veterans in the Lubbock area.
Education program and activities related to the current featured exhibit We Kept ‘Em Flying will occur from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
View the documentary film Arlington: Field of Honor to learn more about how veterans are honored and commemorated at Arlington National Cemetery. This will play hourly from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A Hangar Dance from TIME to TIMe, with live music from Finessence will finish the day’s remembrance activities.
