Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'" Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities. This Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and moves us closer to Dr. King's vision of a beloved community.
The Volunteer Center of Lubbock is currently working with local nonprofit agencies to coordinate volunteer projects for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 21, 2013. If your agency would like to organize a volunteer project for this day of service please contact Rachel Flores at rflores@volunteerlubbock.org, or (806)747-0551.
