Learn what it's like to work for a non-profit museum and be a part of making science fun! Join the Science Spectrum as an intern this summer and ear valuable experience while having a great time.
Summer Interns will have the chance to be a part of our Education Team:
Education interns will assist with special events, birthday parties, and develop floor programs for the museum. Help us execute invents including the Solar Eclipse Viewing Party! Work with the littlest of scientists with Tot-Come-And-Go activities geared towards kids ages 5 and under to encourage curiosity and introduce basic science principals. Help the Science Spectrum Birthday Coordinators perform science demonstrations and even make liquid nitrogen ice cream! You will even perform floor programs and develop your own.
Interns will also help with our Summer Science Camps! You will provide assistance in the classroom with educational activities and programs that range in topics from flight and rocketry, robotics, the Amazon, and much more! Interns can even help to develop classroom curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who loves science, kids, and education. Is your major not in the field of science? No problem! Enthusiastic interns are welcome regardless of their area of study.
Expect 10-15 hours per week. Start as early as June 20th or as late as July 3rd, until August 19th.
