Love horses? Have an interest in special needs clients? Love being outside? We do a little bit of everything here and would love your help! Refuge Services needs volunteers to sidewalk with clients and complete behind the scenes work. The responsibility of the side-walker is to insure the safety of the client while they are receiving therapeutic services. Therapeutic services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and therapeutic riding, great for hands on experience with a wide range of clients and professionals.  Due to the type of services offered at Refuge, and safety precautions that need to be taken, there are training requirements involved with this volunteer opportunity which are provided by our staff. Behind the scenes work includes grooming horses, cleaning therapeutic tools and general upkeep. All volunteer work is crucial to us being able to best serve our clients and is highly appreciated! We are open Monday through Friday and have some weekend work days! Flexible volunteer hours.
