Dec 21, 2016
Looking back over 2016 there is one Volunteer Center story that stands out more than all the others. It's the story of you.
It's the story of how you came out to volunteer on National Days of Service. Of how you brought your family to From the Heart to teach your children about service. Of how you added your insight to our leadership programs or one of our many workshops. Of how your service club, sorority, or fraternity volunteered your Saturdays. Of how you gave generously to empower others in the community to volunteer, lead, and collaborate for the good of our South Plains community.
You were amazing this year! You kept reminding us of all the good in the world and how much that good is needed.
So because of you, this holiday season, we are celebrating giving, and we want you to come alongside us. Tell us how you are celebrating giving this December. Tweet or post to Instagram with #celebrategiving, post your stories on our Facebook page or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
And while you're at it, you can help us celebrate giving into the New Year by chipping in and empowering others to volunteer, lead, and collaborate in 2017.
Thank you for all the amazing things you have done this year, and thank you for helping us kick-off a phenomenal 2017!
MLK Day of Service, January 16th
It's never too early to kick-off that New Year's Resolution to volunteer more in 2017. Plan to make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a "day on" instead of a day off this year and sign-up for one of the many projects going on around the city. This is a day about celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the legacy he left to each one of us. To find out more, contact Paris Wright at email@example.com.
