Boys & Girls Clubs build character through everyday leadership and guidance in behavior and attitude. Young people of all nationalities, races, and creeds join together in wholesome recreation and leadership. Trained professional staff provide positive adult mentors and role models. Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices. Most importantly, the Boys & Girls Club shows youngsters that someone cares and wants them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The members of the Lubbock Boys & Girls Club are served a hot meal daily after school. Kids can become a member for the charge of $10 for the entire school year.
Our mission statement is: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those at risk, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Boys and Girls Clubs of America is the nation's oldest and largest organization with a primary mission of service to young people. It is also the fastest-growing youth agency in America today! The Lubbock Boys & Girls Club was established in 1940. For more than 140 years, Boys & Girls Clubs have depended on the generosity of individuals who care about America's children. Throughout their donations of time, talent and treasure, concerned adults provide the resources that enable Boys & Girls Clubs to change young lives. Today more than 4,000 Clubs reach out to some 4.8 million deserving kids and teens in neighborhoods across America.
